Ford decorates Cologne plant (EU)
Ford has decorated its Niehl factory in Cologne with a multicoloured wrap to celebrate the start of new Ford Fiesta production.
Ford decorated the building over night, so Cologne residents woke up to a burst of colour, instead of where a standard grey industrial building stood the day before. The factory staff have even taken to wearing brightly coloured overalls to mark the occasion.
Karl Anton, manager for the Niehl plant, said, “Our workers are so smitten with the new Fiesta that we have decided to re-christen the plant the ‘Fiesta Love Factory’ and decorate it in celebration.”
The new Fiesta goes on sale in October, and will make its UK debut at the British Motor Show later this month.
