Audi rs4

The transmission of the car is also mounted directly at the back of the engine and that too in the same longitudinal position. The transmission is set in the form of a transaxle, and consists of both a front and a central differential. The initials used in the name of the car, “RS” were taken from the German language; RennSport, which when translated to English means Racing Sport. Like all of the RS model cars designed by Audi, the RS4 also boasts some of the latest technology developed by Audi, and the term ‘halo vehicle’ could certainly be used to described the Audi RS4.

Moreover, the Audi RS4 is exclusively available with Audi’s Torsen based trademark Quattro permanent system of the four wheel drive. The Audi RS4’s main market competitors at the launch of the car were the BMW M3, the Mercedes Benz C63 AMG as well as the Lexus IS-F.

The Audi RS4 was originally released back in 1999, and was set in the assembly line for manufacture and production in the early 2000s. The car was only available as an Avant model at the beginning, but then the saloon/sedan model were introduced. Initially, the retail price of the car was around Deutsche Mark 103, 584. The Audi RS4 became available for sale in the major parts of Europe, a few parts of Asia and some of the Latin American countries. Overall, the Audi RS4 is a great car with all of the exciting options and would now be available at a very cheap price as production has ceased.
